Can’t get enough of Harry Potter? Then this is for you. Since March, best-selling author J. K. Rowling has been writing original stories about the imaginary 2014 Quidditch World Cup Finals for Pottermore, the online home for the world of Harry Potter.
Rowling shared her latest Pottermore.com story exclusively with TODAY.com. Written in the voice of the fictional Daily Prophet's gossip correspondent Rita Skeeter, this post centers around the reunion of Harry Potter and his friends at the Quidditch World Cup Finals.
In the 1,500-word story, Rowling described Potter as a grownup man, aged 34, who is attending the Quidditch World Cup with his two best friends, Ron and Hermione, and their children, according to the Washington Post.
The story, which is told from the point of view of fictional character Rita Skeeter, a gossip journalist for the make-believe newspaper "Daily Prophet," described Potter with "threads of silver" in his hair and a cut above his cheekbone. Ron's famous ginger-colored hair appears to be thinning as well, Digital Spy reported.
Rowling's story entitled "Dumbledore's Army Reunites at Quidditch World Cup Final" read, "There are celebrities - and then there are celebrities. We've seen many a famous face from the wizarding world grace the stands here in the Patagonian Desert - Ministers and Presidents, Celestina Warbeck, controversial American wizarding band The Bent-Winged Snitches - all have caused flurries of excitement, with crowd members scrambling for autographs and even casting Bridging Charms to reach the VIP boxes over the heads of the crowd."
In the story, Harry already has two children, James and Albus. He continues to wear his signature glasses and his famous scar is still highly visible, according to TODAY.
Rowling's story urged readers to speculate with questions she posed, "Or does his injury have a more humble origin, one that Potter is desperate to hide? Has his wife perhaps curse him? Are cracks beginning to show in a union that Potters are determined to promote as happy?"
The story also confirms that Potter's wife Ginevra left her family in London who were present at the Quidditch World Cup. With Potter are his two best friends, Ron who has created a highly successful wizarding joke emporium called Weasleys' Wizard Wheezes, and Hermione, who is set on joining the Department of Magical Law Enforcement Ministry.
