Young Pip, having first been employed in the service of Miss Havisham, an insane heiress, learns that an unknown person has paid to have him sent to a fine boarding school so that he may be raised as a gentleman. After finishing his schooling he returns to visit Miss Havisham, whom he believes was his mysterious benefactor. Only now does he learn what the woman's true intentions were, at which point the story separates completely from the original Dickens novel.

DESCRIPTION
