Ambientato sullo sfondo del mitico regno orientale di Agrabah, Aladdin narra le avventure di un giovane intraprendente, un diamante grezzo che sogna di fuggire da una misera esistenza di strada per sposare la bellissima principessa Jasmine, figlia del Sultano. Il destino vuole che Aladdin venga incaricato dal Vizir del Sultano, l'infido Jafar, di recuperare una lampada dalle proprietà soprannaturali, celata nelle profondità della "Caverna delle Meraviglie". Aladdin riesce a trovare la lampada e, con essa, il vivacissimo genio che la abita, conquistando così la possibilità di esprimere tre desideri, scatenando però le ire del potente Jafar. Pur spacciandosi per un ricco e bellissimo principe, Aladdin non riesce a far colpo sulla principessa e scopre che la bella Jasmine in realtà è sempre stata innamorata del vero Aladdin. Con l'aiuto del suo amico genio, dell'inseparabile scimmietta Abù e di un tappeto magico, Aladdin, volendo dimostrare il suo valore, decide di salvare il regno dalle perfide macchinazioni di Jafar, per divenire finalmente "padrone" del proprio destino.

Set against the backdrop of the legendary eastern kingdom of Agrabah , Aladdin tells the adventures of an enterprising young man , a rough diamond who dreams of escape from a miserable existence of the way to marry the beautiful princess Jasmine , daughter of the Sultan. The fate has it that Aladdin be mandated by the Vizier of the Sultan, the treacherous Jafar , recover a lamp from the supernatural properties , hidden in the depths of the " Cave of Wonders " . Aladdin manages to find the lamp and , with it, the lively genius who lives there , thus gaining the chance to have three wishes , however, sparking the ire of powerful Jafar . While pretending to be a rich and handsome prince , Aladdin fails to impress the princess and learns that she is, in fact, has always been in love with the real Aladdin . With the help of his friend the genius , the inseparable monkey Abu and a magic carpet , Aladdin , wanting to prove his worth , he decides to save the kingdom from the wicked machinations of Jafar , to finally become the "owner " of their own destiny.
