Here is a summit meeting between two legends of Baroque music in this 1973 recording, finally made available in digital and specially remastered in high resolution, to celebrate the centenary of Sir Neville Marriner. The conductor joins forces with David Munrow, great figure of early music’s revival and tireless collector of ancient and traditional flutes from around the world, whose stunning volubility at the recorder works wonders in the concertante pieces by Handel, Telemann and Sammartini.
