Series Plot: The less-than-lovable Bundys are a radical departure from the saccharine-sweet TV families popular since the days of Father Knows Best. Al Bundy is a shoe salesman who is fond of frequently reliving his doubtful 15 seconds of fame on the football field. They have two teenage kids: stunning but superficial party animal Kelly and egocentric Bud. Episode plot: Marcy introduces Peg to a new energetic diet to improve her marriage. Al, meanwhile, wants to part of it but learns if he tries the diet, he can persuade Peg to quit. He must then swallow his pride and admit to Peggy he loves her no matter what.
