Description: This live album was recorded at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 14, 1997. Its video version was exclusively shown on the HBO channel. "One Night Only" could be called a summary of the career of the Gibbs brothers. The Bee Gees have been on stage for 36 years and are proving they can last. This trio probably stayed on stage for a long time, and Barry’s falsetto may have lost its sound a little, but everyone’s favorite melodies live on and triumph. The Bee Gees wisely decided not to make bold creative statements in the form of new songs at the concert and preferred to perform hits that have been tested over the years. By the 90s, the group can be considered long-lived in music, so the mere fact of appearing on stage is enough to make them even sweeter and more beloved by the fans gathered for the concert.
1997 was an amazing year for the Bee Gees, inductions into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame plus Lifetime Achievement awards topped off by a 'One Night Only' concert at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, their only live concert that year and first US concert in nearly 10 years. This DVD sees the brothers Gibb performing over 30 of their greatest hits from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s and features a guest appearance with Celine Dion.
