As Tess makes progress, she discovers the incident is connected to a notorious unsolved murder. Meanwhile, Tess' best friend Matt encourages Tess to open up about her vision loss to Jake. Sunny, desperate to help Tess find leads, reveals her surprising financial situation and a dilemma on her doorstep – the very doorstep of her apartment that she is terrified to cross.
