Ai-Upscaled to 4k from a quality, but fairly grainy Blu-ray 1080p source, then increased framerate to 60fps via SVP 4 Pro + Nvidia TensorRT Rife 4.14v2 to 60fps.
I set the scene change threshold in RIFE to 12% from the default 15% in hopes to remedy the odd scene changes that some of people have noticed. If this helped, please let me know in the comments. Thank you!
The scene change threshold is a parameter used to check if two adjacent frames are in different scenes or not, i.e. the frames are the same (but slightly moved) or completely different. If yes, then there’s no interpolation between these frames. Higher values give more interpolation artifacts when scene change was not detected.
This film is encoded with high-quality motion interpolation with Real-Time Intermediate Flow Estimation (RIFE). If you HATE motion interpolation or HFR for example, 60fps (smooth motion), then please do us all a favor and hit the back button, because this isn't for you! ;)
