Echo & the Bunnymen are a British rock band that formed in 1978 in Liverpool, England, and performed dark post-punk with psychedelic motifs, marked by the sensual vocals of frontman Ian McCulloch, his own poetic experiments, as well as the guitar minimalism of Will Sargent, who had the ability to make the most of the minimum. components to create rich sound canvases.

McCulloch left the lineup in 1988, a year later drummer Pete De Freitas died in a car accident and Echo & the Bunnymen disbanded in 1990. In 1994, McCulloch and Sargent resumed their collaboration in the group Electrafixion, and after Pattinson joined them, they reverted to the name Echo & the Bunnymen.
