##### **Notes:**
1. The 2018 Discotek BD uses an older scan done for HDTV rebroadcasts and streaming. Looking back in hindsight, the scan is quite bad. While for its time it may have been acceptable, there's severe crushing of detail, meh color grading, and too much grain and noise. Apparently, this opinion was shared by Pierrot as well, as when the time came to give it a Japanese BD in 2021, they did a new scan from the OCN. This is like night and day, with superb color correction and restoration. It almost looks like you're watching the cels. Grain has been heavily managed, but I have failed to see any sort of downside to the filtering. Either way, this still beats the pants off the previous master. This is a true testament to the improvement modern film scanning technology can make, even if a previous HD master exists.

1. The older HD master for unknown reasons uses a beat up optical track with terrible fidelity and pops and clicks everywhere. The 2021 scan uses the original stereo tapes which still sound great. I considered checking the LD, but the BD sounded good enough that I didn't feel it was necessary. If I ever get the LD and consider it's audio better, I may do a V2, but that'll be quite a while from now.

1. I would have preferred to just sync the PGS subs, but the new scan has multiple desyncs from the old master, and editing PGS sync apart from a global -ms change is ridiculously complex, so I decided to OCR and recreate it instead. Apart from the credits, which I honestly didn't care enough to keep, the subs are complete.
