DESCRIPTION
THREE WOMEN is an intimate, haunting portrayal of American female desire, in which three women are on a crash course to radically overturn their lives. In addition to Sloane, there is Lina, a homemaker in suburban Indiana who is a decade into a passionless marriage when she embarks on an affair that quickly becomes all-consuming and transforms her life, and Maggie, a student in North Dakota who weathers an intense storm after accusing her married English teacher of an inappropriate relationship. Gia (Woodley), a writer grieving the loss of her family, persuades each of these three spectacular "ordinary" women to tell her their stories, and her relationships with them change the course of her life forever.
Series Plot: Three Women tells the true story of three American women who suffered private and/or public backlash for their sexual desires. The protagonists are a mother in her 30s who rekindles a flame with her high school sweetheart when her husband refuses physical affection, a 23-year-old woman who reports her former teacher for pursuing a sexual relationship with her when she was 17, and a restaurant owner whose husband and business partner picks out her experimental sexual partners — the series will take a multigenerational approach. It will revolve around women in their 20s, 30s and 40s.
Episode plot: Gia, a grieving writer, decides to write a book about women's desire. In the center is Lina, a housewife in Indiana Slaoane, a glamorous entrepreneur in the Northeastern United States and Maggie, a waitress in North Dakota.
