A show made famous by the Tip of the Iceberg bootleg. This is taken from a 1st gen source. The mix is a bit better because of the lower gen source. There are still a few minor rough parts in the first to songs and the intro to the Weapon has some static, but it doesn't affect the rest of the song. The title, incidentally is a play on the phrase "Grace Under Pressure". Once again, many thanks to Rubicon for bringing this particular source out and allowing us to spread this recording to other diehard Rush fanatics. When I received this bootleg, I was hoping it would be the "Grace Under Pressure" show that would raise its head above the rest and easily be declared the best of tour. Instead it lodged itself right in with "Spinning Wheels" and E2E. The debate for best GuP show continues. Unlike SW & E2E this is a soundboard, which means it will be circulated better. However, I don't think (sound wise) one rises above any of the other ones and clearly defines itself to be the best in sound. The audience in this show very low in mix, I hate that. The show has a dry feeling as well. One thing that I really like about this bootleg is that in "Red Barchetta" you can hear the guys mess up bad and get really pissed. Its pretty funny really! What happens is, Geddy forgets some of the words for starters, then Alex's breaks a string, then Geddy forgets more words as soon as Alex's fixes his string! Geddy is pretty pissed and you can hear him turn from the mic as he says "SHIT!". I just love it. For my money, E2E is the best of tour still. The audience is in the mix, its well equalized and its a full show (unlike this one, which is missing the encore). Also, E2E has "Afterimage" where this one has "Kid Gloves". All three of the talked about GuP boots are good and worth while, it depends on who you talk to to tell you which is the best. if your asking me, I say go for E2E. (2001-06-27)

This show ultimately does not do much for me. It is a soundboard and the various parts tend to be very clear, but this show?s several problems are too much of a distraction for me. Most importantly, this sounds like it was a very, very tough night on Geddy. He constantly sounds as if he has a very hard time singing throughout the entire show. His voice sounds strained, he hits awkward pitches often and he sounds tired. Also, there are a few times when the tape sounds crunchy, sometimes just for a split second sometimes a bit longer. Other than that, the band just doesn?t sound very tight on this night. Sometimes the keyboard sounds muddy like some wrong incidental keys were hit. Maybe they were all tired out from filming the GUP Tour video. I am glad to have had the opportunity to hear another Rush performance, but this one exemplifies that they are human after all and I probably won?t listen to this show very much. I?m not saying that Rush fans shouldn?t check it out, especially since the sound quality is high, but I wouldn?t loan this one to a friend that you?re trying to convert to a fan. (2004-11-13)

I have to say that Geddy seems to recover from the night's various problems in time for Kid Gloves. It is an excellent version of that rare live soundboard song! (2006-05-04)
