Rush - 2010-07-19 - Put Another Quarter In That Machine (fixed)
Epic band, epic performance what more can be said. Two and half hours of almost all of their best material (love to hear X-1 live some day). The new material from the forth coming Clockwork Angles album fit seamlessly into the repertoire.
For anyone who's been to the arena at Mohegan Sun, the acoustics are horrible for the most part. The building has a terrible echo off of the back wall. If I'm not on the floor or in a section directly behind the sound board, I don't have great faith that my recording will come out well. I guess this night was an exception. Although you can detect a subtle echo, the sound levels were so high it masks any problems.
As for the crowd around me, I thought I was in trouble when I saw the 'frat' boys and their beers to my left but they turned out to be respectful and not too annoying, except for the five or six beer runs.
Post Edit: I did crowd noise reduction between some songs and explosion attenuation (during Marathon and Far Cry) so as not to blow out your speakers (or ear drums for that matter).
I'd like to dedicate this recording to my mom, it was her 79th birthday on this day and to the youngster (nine or ten year old girl) to the right with her dad and brother. She knew every song and rocked harder that anyone in the place.
