Another rare MP show, and a great one at that!! The boys are having fun this night, and it shows. This set has an impromptu performance of “Wipe Out” prior to “Limelight,” and also features Geddy emphasizing the New York verse of “The Camera Eye,” much to the crowd’s delight. Sound quality is not as good as the Chicago show, but still pretty darn good. All the instruments are well resolved, with a good EQ. There is a bit of distortion, but this is still a great show! Highly recommended!

This is a fantastic source from the MP tour at the MSG in NYC. That being the case, you know the crowd is surely into it on this night. The sound quality is marvelous for a show now over 20 years old. While not as good as the Chicago and Anaheim shows, it is pretty darn close. Rush always gives a little extra for the NYC crowd, and tonight is no different. "Limelight" features a surf intro that I've never heard before or since this show. "La Villa" has an extended intro, but too bad the end of the song is cut. As has been said by many other people, you can never have too many MP shows and this show is no exception. Highly recommended. The source was believed to be the master source, but given that it was on a couple of TDK-SA 90's, I'm more inclined to say it is a 1st Gen even though it had exceptionally low tape hiss. Either way, it came from the taper. Many thanks to Joe Dellafera for donating the source used for this production. VERY NICE, VERY NICE INDEED!! Great sounding show with lots of warmth and a strange intro to Limelight. When did they ever do that again???? Thanks again to Joe D. for taping this show. After all these years, I still love this tour for several reasons: 1. a great setlist with my favorite song, The Camera Eye; 2. Geddy's signature Rickenbacker sound; and 3. Alex's goofing around during By-Tor!!! A highly recommended MP show. THIS SHOW IS AVAILABLE THROUGH TRADING ONLY. (FEB '02)
