Arnett, who is an executive producer on the project, revealed that he considered firing himself from the role when he struggled to find a suitable voice for Sweet Tooth the killer clown, but Mackie, who is also an EP, never once considered giving Arnett a pink slip and admits that he also struggled to connect with his character John Doe at times.
