The exe files in this release are taken directly from the MobaXterm website. If you do not feel comfortable using the exe files provided in this release, you may download fresh copies from the official website located at: -> https://mobaxterm.mobatek.net/download-home-edition.html
Once you download / install the Home Edition, take the license key file provided and move it to the installation directory of MobaXterm.
This release includes an installable version, and a portable version.
If you wish to install the software:
[x] Execute the MobaXterm install file: -> "MobaXTerm v23.2 StandaloneMobaXterm_installer_23.2.msi"
[x] Install the software as you normally would. [x] When installed, ensure MobaXTerm is closed. [x] Copy the license file from the License folder: -> "MobaXTerm v23.2 StandaloneLicenseCustom.mxtpro"
Paste the copied license file in: -> "C:Program Files (x86)MobatekMobaXterm"
You can access the folder by clicking Windows Start -> Run -> Type: -> "%ProgramFiles(x86)%MobatekMobaXterm"
To run the portable version, simply open the executable: -> "MobaXTerm v23.2 PortableMobaXterm_Personal_23.2.exe"
The license file is already copied to the portable exe's location.
When moving the portable to another location on your computer, make sure you copy the three files below. They must ALL be in the same directory: -> "MobaXTerm v23.2 PortableMobaXterm_Personal_23.2.exe" -> "MobaXTerm v23.2 PortableCustom.mxtpro" -> "MobaXTerm v23.2 PortableCygUtils.plugin"
