Overview: There really isn't a lot to say at the moment, but I'll try to mention a few things. First, the warnings about what kind of a book it is? Please read those. Because it's kind of sad to see people complaining about a book containing Harem and Violence and adult situations when it says right in the blurb that those things are in the story.
Genre: Fiction > Sci-Fi/Fantasy
1. Cursed! - Life for Dan Westridge used to be easy.
Used to be. His father was once one of the richest men in the City of Sacramento. So what if his parents never had time for him? Made him work weekends and after school? Only allowed him to date the 'right' kind of women? He still had a pretty easy life: servants, good food, nice clothes, the latest games, and not a lot of expectations working at the family business.
Then one day it all started to very quickly fall apart and months later he's living on the street, slowly starving to death, his parents both dead and every penny of the family fortune is gone. He's been beaten, robbed, and had to learn the hard way how to survive as just another of the unfortunate homeless living on the streets. Still, he's struggling, but he's alive and surely things will get better...
After all, how could it possibly get any worse?
2. BeDeviled - Two down and three to go! If Dan was keeping score, and he is, that's about where his life sits right now. Of course there's still a nasty curse that's taking every opportunity to mess with his life causing him problems, but Wrath, one of the sexier aspects of his curse seems to know how to keep all of that under control.
Unfortunately, or maybe it really is fortunately, Dan's curse can't be removed until they free the rest of her friends. Otherwise they'd be forced to kill him, and both Wrath and Aella, his now current full-time companions really aren't very fond of doing away with him just yet. All Dan knows is that he's really enjoying the oath-swearing part of the deal that they each have to take after he frees them.
But there are bigger problems on the horizon for Dan. First and foremost is the wizard who cursed him as well as the five demon-girls. Apparently he's not very pleased with the idea that Dan just might escape his fate, or that the girls apparently already have. Then there's some other more deadly fallout from all of this that Wrath and Aella have been rather hesitant to inform him of.
3. Heritage
Dan's freed the remaining three girls from their prisons, but there is still the little matter or the curse binding them to him, and of course binding him to an early grave. But if nothing else, he's kept his word, and thankfully they really do want to keep him because they only place they've been abusing him is in bed. However nothing is ever simple in Dan's world anymore, because even after the curse gets conquered, there's the little problem of the demonic blood that the curse introduced to his body.
The only thing keeping him alive at this point is his newly discovered mixed heritage. But even that won't keep him alive for long if they don't find help soon. Magical help. Powerful help. Perhaps even the kind of help that requires a visit to Wrath's father, a truly last ditch resort as he's not only the last person you meet to meet in a dark alley, meeting him on the street in broad daylight isn't exactly safe either. However all those many years of being mean, evil, and an all around terror have left him with a knowledge of curses and their effects that few can rival - few still left alive.
This of course doesn't mean that the wizard who cursed him isn't trying to kill him, he's actually looking to be much more proactive in that venture. Assuming however that Dan and the Girls don't kill him first.
4. Vengeance
Free of the curse that killed his family and cured of the condition that was slowly draining the life from him, Dan's life would be perfect except for one last problem that he needs to take care of once and for all: The Mage Weson who is still trying to kill Dan, his women, and take over Sacramento. The city that Dan and his girls all agree now rightfully belongs to him.
Of course there are a few people who might feel differently about this, like the Mage Wiles, and then there's the small problem of being banished, but none of that really matters. All that matters is Dan is finally starting to realize just who and what he is. And just what that means.
He may not have been born a demon, but he's become a very quick study at all that it means to be one!
