Raging Through The Silence is housed in a six panel digi-pack with new custom artwork.
Raging Through The Silence is a beautifully presented box set featuring the Uriah Heep concert at the London Astoria on May 18, 1989. On two CDs and a DVD, the material that was available years ago was only available in the form of an official VHS tape released on the market on the occasion of the band's 20th anniversary. This time, in a slightly technically improved version, this material is available to fans for the first time on DVD (but let's face it, the quality of the picture definitely differs from the digitally recorded contemporary concert pictures) and for the first time in CD format. Additionally, a 30-minute radio interview with the band, conducted on the same day as the concert, was added to the audio material.
Uriah Heep presents himself on stage in an excellent way. Mick Box (g), Lee Kerslake (dr), Trevor Bolder (bg), Phil Lanzon (k) and Bernie Shaw (v) - it's a pity that this line-up couldn't come to Poland at that time (although they toured in other countries the Eastern Bloc, as evidenced by the T-shirt with the inscription 'Uriah Heep Live In Moscow' worn by singer Bernie Shaw from the middle of the concert). It can be said that the Uriah Heep group was at the peak of its stage potential at that time. And the program of the concert with the famous classics "July Morning", "Gypsy", Easy Livin', "Look At Yourself" and a dozen other compositions is simply breathtaking. The band often improvises and expands its songs in relation to the studio versions, it is enough to say that some of the compositions are stretched to about 10 minutes (with the always sensational "July Morning" at the forefront), and a few others (such as Gypsy) begin from long guitar introductions performed by Mick Box, who was fantastic that evening.
The album "Raging Through The Silence - The 20th Anniversary Concert Live at the London Astoria 28th May 1989", because that's its full title, is the second release published by Uriah Heep Records. The band took matters into their own hands and, listening to the voices of their fans, releases long unattainable or never published material. The first two-disc album "Totally Driven" was released two years ago, containing re-recorded studio versions of the band's 27 greatest recordings. On the other hand, the third one will soon be released in the form of a vinyl picture disc with graphic design by Igor Morski, a compilation with the telling title "Selections From Totally Driven". It seems that really good times are coming for collectors and loyal supporters of the work of this great band.
