Lastman is a French comics series written by Bastien Vivès and Balak and drawn by Bastien Vivès and Michaël Sanlaville. It has been published since March 2013 by Casterman in the collection KSTЯ.
In 2016, an adult animation telling the genesis of the main character, started being aired on the public French TV channel France 4. Season 2 was released starting in October of 2022.

Episode 6 - "Sam": Sentenced to death for the assassination of Billy Monroe, the sentence of Sam Novich has been commuted to participation in the Murder Arena of Death! The concept of this TV show is simple: the criminals are dropped off in an arena where three armed and overtrained hunters are released on their heels. With his IQ of 80, Sam does not understand what is happening to him, nor the importance of what this other prisoner is telling him. His face, however, reminds him of something... he was a boxer, wasn't he?
