Even if you aren't looking for a tech job, this is still a valuable skill to have at your disposal. Coding helps increase your logical and creative thinking. Problem solving is a big part of it and it will help you in your daily life.
In this course, you will learn the basics of coding using the Python programming language. You will have a grasp on all of the fundamentals needed to continue down your coding path. Not only will you learn how to code, but I will also teach you the basics of debugging your code effectively.
At the end of this class, you will be able to create simple desktop applications to fulfill basic day to day needs. Maybe you can make an investment calculator. Maybe a text based video game or a random name generator. The limits are truly endless when it comes to coding and it only expands as you further your knowledge.

For this project, you will be using all of the skills that you learned. You will be creating a text based adventure game utilizing what was taught in this course. I encourage you to even try and have a health point system to the game. Take the user's input when prompted. Use that input to make decisions within the game that affect the outcome. Make use of variables, If-Then-Else statements, and everything else that was taught. Feel free to post and share your creation and this course with the world. This is an amazing step on your journey down the path of coding.
