DESCRIPTION
The series follows a single mother named Claudia who lacks a close relationship with her son and is desperate for some connection. When a local child goes missing, she sees her opportunity to get involved.

Series Plot: Claudia, a lonely single mother and school nurse, is longing for connection. Her opportunity to be a hero comes when a young child in her community – Emily Winter – goes missing. Claudia becomes embroiled in the case and fixated on uncovering the truth. However, her fascination quickly begins to turn to obsession, not only with what happened to Emily, but also with the Winter family at the heart of the case - Emily's grief-stricken father, Owen her cold mother, Sabine, and her twelve-year-old brother.
Episode plot: Claudia, recovering from cancer and sharing custody of her 12-year-old son Rhys, works as a primary school nurse and struggles to find meaning in her life. She tries in vain to help Imogen, a little girl she fears is being mistreated at home, but when she stumbles upon a search for five-year-old Emily Winter, who's gone missing from the playground on her street, Claudia is inescapably drawn to Emily's parents Owen and Sabine. As Claudia's obsession with the case grows, she forges a relationship with mysterious George, an English teacher at her school and finds herself in the midst of a deepening mystery.
