DESCRIPTION
Loosely based on the life of Eddie Huang during the mid-to-late 1990s, an Asian-American family decides to move to Orlando, Florida from Washington D.C. in order to embrace the "American Dream." However, the family faces many obstacles as they try to assimilate with the new culture that surrounds them.

Series Plot: It's the '90s and 12 year old, hip-hop loving Eddie just moved to suburban Orlando from DC's Chinatown with his parents. It's culture shock for his immigrant family in this comedy about pursuing the American Dream. Fresh Off the Boat is based on Chef Eddie Huang's memoir "Fresh Off the Boat".
Episode plot: There's no question that Louis and Jessica make a great team. They each do their part to make sure everything runs smoothly at home, at the restaurant and the investment property. But when Eddie comes home with lice and infects others in the family, Louis leaves it to Jessica to clean up the mess. Meanwhile, Eddie tries to back out of a bet he made with his teacher, and his classmates suffer the consequences.
