DESCRIPTION
Loosely based on the life of Eddie Huang during the mid-to-late 1990s, an Asian-American family decides to move to Orlando, Florida from Washington D.C. in order to embrace the "American Dream." However, the family faces many obstacles as they try to assimilate with the new culture that surrounds them.

Series Plot: It's the '90s and 12 year old, hip-hop loving Eddie just moved to suburban Orlando from DC's Chinatown with his parents. It's culture shock for his immigrant family in this comedy about pursuing the American Dream. Fresh Off the Boat is based on Chef Eddie Huang's memoir "Fresh Off the Boat".
Episode plot: Louis keeps crashing Jessica's girl time with Honey, so she encourages him to make some friends of his own. But when his new friend ends up being an attractive woman from the pool hall, Jessica gets jealous and tries to become Louis' new pool buddy. Meanwhile, Eddie is unnerved when Alison buddies up with his former crush Nicole.
