DESCRIPTION
Chefs compete for the chance of $20,000 as they are cooking inside a grocery store.
Series Plot: In each episode of Guy's Grocery Games, four talented chefs compete in a number of challenges as they navigate their way through the aisles of a grocery store, adhering to "real-world" obstacles. Whether it is shopping on a budget, substituting out-of-stock ingredients or grabbing groceries at closing time, each chef has to shop, prepare, and plate three different dishes using whatever they can pull off the shelves. Ultimately, the food does the talking, as one-by-one the losing chefs "check out," by a rotating panel of judges that includes Melissa d'Arabian, Richard Blais, G. Garvin, Troy Johnson, Catherine McCord, Aarti Sequeira, among others. The last chef standing goes on a shopping spree of a lifetime worth up to $20,000!
Episode plot: It's the grand opening of the all-new Flavortown Market 2.0 -- bigger, better and badder than the original! Guy Fieri is celebrating by inviting four GGG legends to face off in a culinary battle royale where they get one hour to cook a trailblazing dinner complete with an appetizer and entree. But besides a trip to the butcher counter, the chefs can shop for just one ingredient per aisle! After the appetizers are served, the chefs must make their entrees, but Guy and his son Hunter throw the chefs one twist before they cross the finish line. The chef who wins the first competition in the new store gets to shop the market for up to $20,000.
