Balto e Togo - La leggenda, film diretto da Brian Presley, racconta la storia di Leonhard Seppala (Brian Presley), noto come Sepp, un padre vedovo e pescatore, trasferitosi dalla Norvegia all'Alaska per mettersi in cerca d'oro. Dopo la morte di sua moglie, a causa del parto, l'uomo si ritira nel suo dolore, allontanandosi dalla comunità locale in compagnia soltanto della figlia Sigrid. Nell'inverno del 1925 la città di Nome, in Alaska, è in preda a un'epidemia mortale di difterite, ma una terribile tempesta di neve mette a rischio la comunità, interrompendo i traffici, tra cui quelli medici. La cittadina si ritrova così priva di antitossina nell'ospedale del posto, mettendo in serio rischio, tra i malati, moltissimi bambini.
