Skeleton Farm Productions are responsible for the Satan’s Drive-In and Channel 666 video mixtapes, as well as the fantastic Forbidden Transmission
cable access TV show. Just in time for Halloween this year they have put together a fantastic mix of music and clips.
Skeleton Farm’s Halloween Horrorshow. This virtual spook-house ride comes to us from the mad slice-and-splicers at Skeleton Farm, Albuquerque’s
premiere found footage alchemists. This feature-length film is a madcap tour through hundreds of classic (and not-so-classic) horror film clips.
Brain-melting shock, terror and outright confusion are sure to ensue.
A video mixtape, if you’re not familiar, is a collection of “the best parts” from movies, rock videos, commercials, TV shows, or wherever,
edited together in rapid fire fashion. Halloween Horrorshow starts off with an introduction/welcome from a mad scientist type and then jumps right
into “Keepin’ Halloween Alive” by Alice Cooper. While the song plays we’re treated to an onslaught of clips from dozens of monster movies. From there
we get music from the likes of The (New) Misfits, The Ramones (not “Pet Cemetery”), The J. Geils Band, and The Fat Boys. Mixed in are clips from
Halloween specials, horror movies, old cartoons, commercials, news stories, and public service announcements.
