George Clarke explores some of the UK's most impressive historic homes, as he delves into their hidden recesses and takes in their stunning surroundings.
1) Kingston Lacy
George is in Dorset at the UK's most exquisite example of Italianate architecture - Kingston Lacy. He also uncovers a tale of shame and scandal at the Cotswold landmark, Hidcote Manor Garden.
2) Dunster Castle
George visits 1000-year-old Dunster Castle in Somerset and discovers it's not size that matters at the finest surviving 17th-century water gardens, Westbury Court in Gloucestershire.
3) Cragside
