Description: Cisco Packet Tracer is a powerful software environment for building a virtual computer network. The utility provides all the main elements produced by the company. The software simplifies the work of network engineers in the design.
Cisco Packet Tracer is used to train students. To use it you need to register and sign up for 1 of the courses: CNNA R&C, CCNA Security, Introduction to IoT, IT Essentials, Mobile Fundamentals.
The program is not translated into Russian, as well as the courses. In spite of this, the interface of the program is easy to understand.
When the network is complete, Cisco Packet Tracer displays whether the devices will work with each other. For example, if you mix up the direct and cross-connection, the red indicators will light up. In a properly working network, all indicators will be green.
The program simulates the devices as if you were working with them. User can configure IP address, mask, DNS server and default gateway manually or via DHCP. You can work with both the old IPv4 protocol and IPv6.
