Bad Teacher: una cattiva maestra è una commedia del 2011 diretta da Jake Kasdan.
Elisabeth (Cameron Diaz) non è esattamente una normale professoressa: beve, fuma erba, spende tutto quello che può e fa male il suo lavoro d'insegnante di scuola media, professione che intende abbandonare non appena sarà riuscita a sposare il suo facoltoso fidanzato.
I piani però non vanno come previsto e quando questo la lascia, Elisabeth è costretta a continuare a lavorare. All'inizio dell'anno scolastico, arriva il nuovo professore di matematica, Scott (Justin Timberlake) e la cattiva maestra intravede un'altra possibilità di accasarsi, poiché l'insegnante è giovane, piuttosto carino, single e soprattutto molto ricco.
Intanto Elisabeth scopre che la Contea ha messo in palio un premio di cinquemila dollari per l'insegnante la cui classe arriva prima al test di valutazione statale, quindi cerca di mettere sotto con lo studio i suoi alunni. Quando però capisce che sono troppo scarsi, decide di rubare il quiz e le soluzioni per barare e vincere i soldi, che le servono per un intervento d'ingrandimento del seno.
Presa dalla truffa, non si rende conto che Scott ha intrapreso una relazione con un'altra professoressa, Amy (Lucy Punch), all'apparenza graziosa e perfettina, che non esita a denunciarla quando scopre la verità sul test valutativo. Da quel momento Elisabeth avrà modo di vendicarsi, ma anche di considerare quali siano le cose davvero importanti nella sua vita.
