ClickJacking (also known as UI redressing) is a technique used to trick Web users into performing actions they did not intend to do while clicking on buttons or links in seemingly innocent Web pages. These buttons and links have transparent layers under them, and while the users think that they are clicking them, they are actually performing actions on the transparent pages. These transparent pages are most often authentic and therefore the users actions are genuinely authenticated and cannot be traced later on. Clickjacking is commonly used on social networks to trick users into making their profile information public or into making them follow/like/befriend someone else. It can be used, however, for more malicious purposes such as clicking "buy" instead of "cancel" on an e-commerce site or turning on a user's webcam and recording him without his knowledge.
