Installation
With a setup kit that barely measures 6MB in size, you should be happy to know that PicPick benefits from a fast and smooth installation process. You will not have any major problems with the installation. Once installed, you can find the tool minimized in the taskbar. It supports all the available versions of Windows from 2000 onwards and it doesn’t come bundled with adware/spyware or other programs.
Interface
PicPick has a very good-looking and intuitive interface. As the program minimizes to the system tray, its features can be quickly accessed by clicking on its icon. All the buttons and controls are explained when you roll your mouse over them and novice users will not encounter any problems in this regard. Features such as a screen capture, image editor, color picker, color palette, magnifier, pixel ruler, protractor, crosshair and whiteboard are provided by PicPick. The impressive screen capture function includes a scrolling capture option. Web pages and other scrolling documents can be captured by users, all in one image. The support for dual monitors and sharing to FTP, E-mail, Facebook and Twitter is a great bonus. Various color code types (RGB, HTML, C++, Delphi) are provided by the Color Picker and Color Palette. An FTP client is even included in PicPick that makes it very easy to upload your finished works directly to a website. Other nice features of PicPick are the Screen Pixel Ruler which supports colorful gradient skins, horizontal and vertical orientation as well as the Screen Magnifier. A 2x to 10x option zoom is also available. The whiteboard is used for a presentation or just drawing something on the screen.
Cons
Despite the fact that it is a fairly easy to use tool, a Help file should have been included so that users can refer to it whenever they think they are stuck regarding an issue.
