David Rutter, the line producer for FIFA 12, has promised "a revolutionary year for FIFA... especially in the gameplay department." The first screenshot was revealed on 11 April, featuring Real Madrid midfielder Kak? running through the field. It is possible the game will be available for all consoles, with the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 being the main consoles for the game. On 10 May, it was announced that FIFA 12 will be featured on Nintendo 3DS and that will feature multiple modes. Career Mode, 11 vs 11, Street Mode, and Be a Pro are just some of the modes that the 3DS version is going to feature. On 18 May, it was announced that the 3DS will not have an online mode. It will be the first edition to feature Arabic commentary. On 27 May 2011, it was confirmed that FIFA 12 would be released on PlayStation 2, but many sources claim that this will the be the console's final game. On 7 June, it was confirmed that the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch will also be included and others are to come in the next few months.
FIFA 12 (titled FIFA Soccer 12 in North America) is the nineteenth game in Electronic Arts' FIFA series of association football video games. It is being developed by EA Canada, and will be published by Electronic Arts worldwide under the EA Sports label. David Rutter, the line producer for FIFA 12, promised a "revolutionary year for FIFA ... especially in the gameplay department".
FIFA 12 will be the first in the series to be released in Arabic, with Essam El Shawaly and Abdullah Mubarak Al-Harby providing the commentary.
On 27 May 2011, EA Sports released the video of FIFA 12, demonstrating the new "Impact Engine". This engine improves the collision variety, accuracy and momentum preservation.
An "Ultimate Edition" of the game will be available through Game and Gamestation stores. It includes monthly Ultimate Team gold packs, each containing 12 items including players, contracts, stadiums, managers, staff, fitness, healing, footballs, kits and badges. Each pack contains one rare item, such as enhanced player attributes, longer contracts and the most coveted players
