Episode Plot:
Toni plans to perform at a benefit concert in Bermuda, and invites her sisters to accompany her. Traci moved away ten years earlier, and misses her sisters. Towanda is Toni's assistant, but wants to get back into performing. Trina tends to party too hard. Tamar is married to Toni's manager, successful record producer Vincent Herbert. She also sings backup, but believes she's destined for a solo career. Tamar and Trina get together to sing backup for Toni, and Tamar throws a fit when she learns Toni won't be at the rehearsal. The sisters are shocked to learn that Trina was arrested for a DUI. The girls' mother, Evelyn, watches her grandchildren while Toni and her sisters head for Bermuda. Tensions continue to mount as Traci reveals she feels left out that she won't be performing, and Tamar feuds with Vince over his perceived unwillingness to help her with her career. As Toni worries about how her performance will be received, Tamar and Vince separately come to her seeking her counsel, and she advises them. In spite of Toni's fears, the concert is a success, marred only by Traci's tears over being on the sidelines. But Towanda manages to comfort her, and she feels better having expressed her frustrations, and decides to get back into singing. The sisters plan to have a post-concert slumber party, but Toni falls asleep alone in her room. Tamar and Vince come to an understanding that he'll make her career a higher priority. The sisters return home to Atlanta, to an exhausted Evelyn's relief.

Evelyn reveals the news to her daughters about her mini stroke sending the sisters into a panic. Toni and Tamar team up to persuade her to move back to L.A., but the other sisters want her to stay in Atlanta to recuperate. Towanda seeks her sisters help as her daughter Brooke needs to understand the changes a young girl faces leading to uncomfortable questions. Trina announces to her sisters that she has been going to therapy to deal with her issues at hand and confronts them. Trina contacts her ex-husband Gabe leading to visiting a therapist to form a reconciliation in order for her to move on once and for all but Gabe has other plans. Traci becomes worried after receiving some unsettling news from her doctor resulting her to undergo surgery. Trina visits a hypnotherapist to deal with her fear of birds, Tamar and Towanda help Trina to confront her fear by leaving Trina so she can face it alone. Toni has been singing about heartache, struggles and fears for years, but this season she conquers one major fear that's been holding her back. Traci goes back into the studio to record tracks for her sophomore album, she invites her sisters Toni, Towanda and Trina to a session later to find out they were tricked asking them to provide background vocals on the song "Broken Things".
