2019-05 MAY - Calibre NIRC New Ebooks ***This Readme is Edited for posting*** For many ISP's, we have to edit this readme file for posting (mainly deleting all previous months magnet links and how to use em, and any portable links) in the text itself, but we can usually post the blogs URL.. The original (unedited) readme.txt file is in the torrent itself. This months (May) Torrent/library has 5,942 Books in about 5.61 Gig. While all the above books are already loaded/working in a calibre library/database (with metadata and pointing to the ebooks), they are also updated and the metadata is embedded in the epub itself . To accomplishis this, rather than putting a calibre library with indexes and thousands of files in the torrent, we are now distributing the entire calibre library/database as a SINGLE HUGE flat file, INSIDE the torrent. The entire calibre library (with books) is zipped and renamed to .zap (So it becomes a single file. prefixed with "Data - ZIPPED (renamed to ZAP) - ").... Just rename the huge .zap file to .zip, unzip it and you have the full working calibre library. The books in this library (are from BOTH IRC Channels, and any other sources) are complete, Deduped (Even against the previous 19 months of NIRC Libraries), commonly cleaned/named/QA checked, have covers, are converted to .epub format (already compressed like a zip or rar), metadata Checked/Updated (also stored in the epub itself), are polished/metadata embedded, and are all in ready to use Calibre Libraries. (if you want or need them in another format, they are easily converted). Because there are so many files per month/to date, To help organize, 3 extra files are in the main/root directory (Of the torrent itself, but also in the unzipped zap) , #1 = "Catalog - NIRC 2019-05 MAY - Calibre NIRC New Ebooks", (catalog) of the contents of THIS months library, in AST Format (Author/Series/Title columns), is in a CSV format file. #2 = "Combined NIRC Catalogs - 2017-18-19 to 19-04 with tags" which are the csv file/catalogs of ALL previous 20 months combined (about 84,192+ Books). These are smart csv's (first line has field/column names) and work as a flat file database. We are (Slowly deduping and cleaning them, and have added some newfields (Sorted Author by LN, FN, record#, Tags) #3 = "csvfileview.exe" To view/search either the monthly or combined catalogs (or other CSV files), just open it in the file menu. It is a standalone portable/no install program included with that name, treats the .csv file as a searchable database (you can use the "Quick Filter" menu option to search for/select/display , so any text you type in can be searched for in any books catalog entry) This torrent is the actual working Calibre library used for cleaning (and will have some CC's and templates in it used for cleaning, but rather than delete em, many find it instructional to see Calibre Functions/templates/how it is done, so we left em in). While the books are still in AST order , there are three changes/Custom Columns used for cleaning, and by popular request, left in .. The series field is broken up into two separate columns for the Series Name (ES = Extended Series, ES Name) and the Series Index (ES Index) is in it's own field (and made text instead of a number only ), and the Author is FN LN and a CC Named "Sorted Author by LN, FN" is in there too...Those ES CC's are then pushed back into series. The second change/addition is the addition of the field "Title Part Two"... The title is just the books title (per cover), Colons are replaced by an up arrow, and any additional/extra stuff is moved to "Title Part Two", or put after the underscore character The Libraries can be used standalone, or merged with/copied to YOUR Calibre Library, or even imported into your existing non calibre libraries
