Roger Sartet, un pericoloso rapinatore pluriomicida, propone al vecchio Vittorio Malanese - un siciliano che, vivendo a Parigi con moglie, figli, nuore e un nipote, nasconde, sotto un'apparenza irreprensibile, una fruttuosa attività illegale - un colpo senza precedenti: impadronirsi dei gioielli, del valore di alcuni miliardi, di una mostra itinerante. Consultandosi con un mafioso suo amico, l'italo-americano Toni Nicosia, Vittorio decide che il colpo è realizzabile (anche se molto rischioso) approfittando del trasporto aereo del gioielli a New York.
Roger Sartet, a dangerous pluriomic robber, proposes to the old Vittorio Malanese - a Sicilian who, living in Paris with his wife, children, daughter-in-law and a nephew, hides, under an irreproachable appearance, a fruitful illegal activity - an unprecedented blow: to take over of jewels, worth some billions, of a traveling exhibition. In consultation with a mafioso his friend, the Italian-American Toni Nicosia, Vittorio decides that the coup is feasible (even if very risky) taking advantage of the air transport of the jewels in New York.
