DESCRIPTION
At times comedic and at other times heartbreaking, the series follows the intertwining lives of three Manchester couples at different stages in their relationships. At the start, Adam Williams and Rachel Bradley are a new couple. Adam's best friend Pete Gifford and his wife Jenny are adjusting to life as new parents. While Rachel's friends Karen and David Marsden fear the possible disintegration of their marriage. Other reoccurring characters include the Marsden's nanny, Ramona, and, in later series, Rachel's coworker Jo Ellison. Poignantly true to life but with fantastical twists the drama/sitcom explorers all the ups and downs of romance.

Series Plot: Cold Feet is about three couples. Adam Williams and Rachel Bradley start the series about a year and six or so weeks into their relationship.
The pilot shows this couple coming together. Jenny and Pete Gifford are a married couple that start the series with the birth of their first child. Karen and David Marsden are another married couple, and when the series starts they already have a child, and are thinking of having another. The three couples end up friends after going through the 'friends of friends' process. Jenny, Pete and Adam are friends, and Adam's relationship with Rachel pulls Karen and David into the friends relationship.
Episode plot: Adam is enjoying his new relationship, but he is unable to help feeling jealous when Karen's head is turned by Dan the benevolent vicar. Jenny starts chemotherapy and gets a new lease of life when her cancer buddy Charlie encourages her to join the hospital choir, while Pete finds himself in a dilemma when Chloe - terrified her mum is going to die - asks him to formally adopt her. Homeless David takes refuge at the airport, but a chance encounter with ex-wife Robyn forces him to admit his plight.
