This months (November) Torrent/library has 4,167 Books in about 4.5 Gig.
The to stop blocking and allow single file use (by usenet), the entire Calibre Library is Zipped and renamed to .ZAP and prefixed with "Data -". Just rename it from .zap to .zip and unzip it
ie the huge file "Data - ZIPPED (renamed to ZAP) - 2018-11 NOV - Calibre NIRC New Ebooks.zap" is the full database/calibre library with all the books/covers/templates/etc
We have changed (Shortened) the name to ONLY Ebooks, And from New IRC to NIRC. Ebooks in this torrent come from many different sources now and ONLY have published dates after Sept 2017
This months Torrent is a bit different. To cut down problems with ISP's/Indexers/etc we are now distributing the entire calibre database as a flat file. The entire calibre library (with books) is zipped and renamed to .zap (So it becomes a single file).... just rename the huge .zap file to .zip, unzip it and you have the full working calibre library.
The books in this library (from BOTH IRC Channels, and any other sources) are complete, Deduped (Even against the previous 14 months of NIRC Libraries), commonly cleaned/named, have covers, are converted to .epub format (already compressed like a zip or rar), metadata Checked/Updated, are polished/metadata embedded, and are all in ready to use Calibre Libraries. (if you want or need them in another format, they are easily converted). Many of the books previous released in .epub format had a MAJOR error... while most .epubs are under 5 MB, many of the prior months had files converted badly to epub as 100-300 MB (or more) files instead of just 5 (or less)
Unfortunately, this will probably also mean the end of NIRC... The IRC new stuff has changed DRASTICALLY... IRChighway is only putting out "trainpacks" now, and Undernet's @new is gone, the conversion errors in the previous big .epubs made each month (by the providers) were about/up to 42% Larger than it needed to be when converted correctly
To help organize, 3 extra files are in the main/root directory, #1 = "Catalog - NIRC 2018-11 NOV - Calibre NIRC New Ebooks", (catalog) of the contents of this months library in AST Format (Author/Series/Title columns), is in a CSV format file.
#2 = "Combined NIRC Catalogs - NIRC 2017-09 thru NIRC 2018-11 - Calibre New Ebooks" which are the csv file/catalogs of all previous months combined (about 71,389+ Books). These are smart csv's (first line has field/column names) and work as a flat file database.
#3 = "csvfileview.exe" To view/search either the monthly or combined catalogs (or other CSV files), just open it in the file menu. It is a standalone portable/no install program included with that name, treats the .csv file as a searchable database (you can use the "Quick Filter" menu option to search for/select/display , so any text you type in can be searched for in any books catalog entry)
This torrent is the actual working Calibre library used for cleaning (and will have some CC's and templates in it used for cleaning, but rather than delete em, many find it instructional to see how it is done, so we left em in). While the books are still in AST order , there are three changes/Custom Columns used for cleaning, and by popular request, left in.. The series field is broken up into two separate columns for the Series Name (ES = Extended Series, ES Name) and the Series Index (ES Index) is in it's own field (and made text instead of a number only ), and the Author is FN LN and a CC Named "Sorted Author by LN, FN" is in there too...Those ES CC's are then pushed back into series. The second change/addition is the addition of the field "Title Part Two"... The title is just the books title (per cover) and any odd/extra stuff is moved to "Title Part Two", or put after the underscore character
The Libraries can be used standalone, or merged with/copied to YOUR Calibre Library, or even imported into your existing non calibre libraries
If you already have or use calibre, just open it as an existing library.

If you don't have Calibre or have no desire to try it, each epub has the cover and metadata inside it, and can be used with many other file or library managers.

Tags, Last Modified Date, Date, Size, Rating, Publisher, Published, Languages
We have actually been making/seeding these torrents for 13 months now, but for the first few months (and now) they had a different name ... they are ALL seeding and the PAST Months
