After running setup,, click on 'Configure',, specify the install directory,, click on next and next,, select the necessary software (Direct X [provided in Redist folder]),, again next,, finally on 'Install'...PLAY THE GAME FROM DESKTOP SHORTCUT using run as administrator....
NOTES IN CASE TO AVOID ANY PROBLEM:
1.- Run "Silent Hill 2 HD Widescreen Patcher" from desktop shortcut in order to set the custom resolution.
2.- Use Windows XP SP2 Compatibility Mode on DESKTOP SHORTCUT "Silent Hill 2" when using Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10.
3.- Always open from desktop shortcut "Silent Hill 2" using Run as Administrator.
4.- Run game as Administrator setting affinity to "1" if you are using a multicore CPU. (optional)
5.- Have Fun!!!
NEVER CHANGE THE GAME RESOLUTION USING IN-GAME OPTIONS, ALWAYS USE THE "Silent Hill 2 HD Widescreen Patch", ALL THE OTHERS GRAPHICS SETTINGS ARE OK.
NOT ALL THE CUSTOM RESOLUTIONS WORKS FINE, IF YOU GET A BLACK SCREEN TRY ANOTHER ONE. SUPERSAMPLING IS ALSO PROBLEMATIC.
