0 hour(s) and 00 minutes - Movie - 2011 I thought this was a well made show about earthquakes, though I think it was at time unduly alarmist--perhaps in an attempt to scare the viewer and encourage them to keep watching. The way I see it is that we have always had earthquakes and we always will. And, shows like this and the proliferation of TV news has convinced us that lately EVERY FREAKING THING about the world is getting worse--not just earthquakes. Now I am not trying to minimize the horror earthquakes can cause--just bring a sense of perspective into the argument.As far as this show goes, after mentioning several recent bad earthquakes, they then go on to try to emphasize the danger to various parts of the US--particularly the West Coast. And, if you live in Oregon, the show pretty much says you are screwed. The show also talks about seismology and how it pretty much can't predict much of anything yet (comforting isn't it?). But it also has some interesting facts, interviews and the like so as long as you don't start panicking (unless you live in Japan, Turkey, China, Haiti or California) because of its message of doom and gloom.
